PT D150/600/12/2 is a two heating zone vacuum tube furnace, each heating zone controlled separately. The dual zone tube furnace can adopt a 40, 80 or 100mm OD quartz tube and a pair of stainless steel vacuum sealing flanges with needle valves & gauge allow heating samples under vacuum or gas flow conditions. Precise Shimaden microprocessor PID temperature controller programmable 32 segments with +/- 1ºC accuracy. Max. working temperature is 1200°C.

Product Overview

Two Zone Tube Furnace PT D150/600/12/2 features dual heating Zones, each zone controlled separately. Heating length 24″ Long ( 12″+12″), Microprocessor-based self-tuning PID provides excellent control with no overshooting and +/- 1 °C accuracy. Max vacuum level could be reached to 10E-5 torr with molecular vacuum pump. So the Dual Zone Tube Furnace is widely used in vacuum and/or atmosphere protection sintering, including calcining inorganic compounds and/or preparing Li-Ion battery cathode powders with better uniformity in multiple gas controlled / CVD up to 1200°C.

Safety
  • Built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters for easy monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Overheat protection shuts down the furnace if temperature is outside of acceptable range (refer to controller’s manual) or when the thermocouple is broken or malfunctions.
  • Power failure protection resumes furnace operation right after the point of failure when power is reestablished.
  • Microprocessor based self-tuning PID control provides optimum thermal process with minimal overshoot

Application Notes
  • Don’t fill any explosive gasses such as Hydrogen or Methane into the vacuum furnace tube without necessary safety controls and supervision.
  • Vacuum Tube furnace with quartz tubes are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa.
  • Small cracks may appear on the surface of the refractory ceramics over extended use. This is a normal occurrence and the cracks may be repaired with alumina coating
